Ergo Back supports are backrests fitting on car seats that provide back support while driving. Ergo Backs are ergonomic backrests designed to improve sitting posture and prevent from back pain. Several versions are available. Regardless the model chosen, the foam backrest together with the lateral reinforcements, hold the back straight and supported at both spine and lumbar level. The sitting position in a car is not always optimal and is unsuitable for all body types as the pronation angles of the backrests and the seat are not adjustable. Therefore, the pelvis tends to tilt backwards and the spine moves forward so that the body is closer to the steering wheel. The body is involuntarily looking for the least restraining and most comfortable position. Looking for the “ideal” position, muscles are always under tension; due to the intensity and repetition of movements, it can cause pathologies such as disc herniation and vertebral compression.
