Lighting
The purpose of workplace lighting is to provide users with light that is suited to their tasks, rhythm, and visual environment. An ergonomic desk lamp or a well-designed workstation light makes it possible to adjust brightness, colour temperature, and light direction in order to make work more comfortable, more precise, and less tiring. By reducing glare, unsuitable contrasts, and shadowed areas, good lighting helps limit eye strain, improve concentration, and support well-being throughout the day. Some solutions go even further by reproducing the natural changes in daylight in order to support the circadian rhythm, encourage alertness in the morning, maintain attention during active hours, and help prepare more calmly for rest at the end of the day. Combining direct lighting for the work surface with indirect lighting for the overall atmosphere creates a more balanced, more customisable, and better-adapted lighting environment for each user, both in the office and when working from home.
